As so beautifully communicated in Lady Bird Johnson’s quote “Where flowers bloom, so does hope,” Bloom is symbolic of the radiance of the human spirit in its most joyous, nurtured state.

My mother always had a strong disbelief in the impossible – a way of seeing life which is contagious to the people blessed to share time with her. Her encouragement and great enthusiasm for meaningful life goals continues to inspire me today. As a tribute to my mother, an avid gardener, I sculpted Bloom. Because of her unwavering love and support, I still identify with the little girl thriving within the glorious iris flower and reaching with joy to the sunshine. I hope others will see themselves in her, too, and feel inspired to open their hearts to their world of possibilities.
